About The Fund

Tyler Ross Williams has a dream and his departure from this world on August 25th, 2024 – much too soon – won’t stop it. In fact, it will fuel it. Tyler had many challenges and struggles with severe anxiety and depression. He endured a lot trying to find peace of mind and body – further suffering side effects from medications meant to bring him relief. Even through his hardest days, Tyler wanted to share with others his hard journey and through his music and other platforms sought to channel his pain and what he learned about mental health in ways that might help others.  This became his passion – something he said he had to do –  and so he will.

Tyler’s Fund will provide financial resources to at-risk youth to ensure money doesn’t stand in the way of needed therapy or other mental health support. This fund will be in partnership with 2COACHU, a non-profit providing enrichment that promotes academic, athletic, and social emotional growth in K-12 students. 2COACHU will serve as a sponsor and fiscal agent for Tyler’s Fund. This will connect the at-risk youth they serve for students at Oakland Unified Schools to the financial resources Tyler’s Fund will provide to any child in need of mental health therapy and support. 

For those of us who knew Tyler’s beautiful spirit, we can’t imagine a better way for Tyler’s time in this world to leave a lasting impact – helping kids find their path to their best lives.
